ESOMAR 37
Our responses to ESOMAR's 37 Questions framework — the industry standard for evaluating expert network transparency and practices. Showing selected questions below.
Company Information
What is the name of the company and when was it founded?
Sourcelyn Ltd, founded in 2023 and registered in England and Wales. We provide expert network services to research and consulting firms globally.
What is the company's core business and who are the typical clients?
Our core business is connecting research teams and strategy consultancies with currently employed industry practitioners for paid consultation calls. Clients include boutique research agencies, mid-tier consultancies, and global professional services firms.
Expert Recruitment & Verification
How are experts recruited into the network?
Experts are recruited through professional networks, industry referrals, and targeted outreach. We focus exclusively on currently employed professionals — retired or between-roles individuals are not eligible for our network.
How do you verify expert identity and credentials?
We verify identity through government-issued documentation. Current employment is confirmed through company email verification, LinkedIn profile cross-referencing, and in some cases direct HR confirmation. Credentials are validated against publicly available professional records.
How do you ensure experts are currently employed?
Employment status is verified at onboarding and re-verified before each engagement. Experts are required to notify us immediately of any change in employment status. Our matching process includes a recency check for every engagement.
Compliance & Conflict Management
How do you manage conflicts of interest?
We run per-engagement conflict-of-interest checks. Before accepting an engagement, experts confirm they have no material conflict with the client, subject company, or topic. We screen against employer restrictions, contractual obligations, and potential MNPI exposure.
What compliance training do experts receive?
All experts complete a compliance onboarding that covers: information boundaries (what they can and cannot discuss), confidentiality obligations, MNPI awareness, and their rights and responsibilities. Compliance refreshers are provided annually.
How do you prevent the disclosure of material non-public information?
We brief experts on MNPI boundaries before each engagement. Experts in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare) receive enhanced screening. We decline engagements where the risk of MNPI exposure is assessed as material.
Do you maintain records of compliance screening?
Yes. We maintain complete audit trails for every engagement, including: expert consent records, conflict-of-interest screening outcomes, compliance briefing confirmation, and engagement completion records. These are available to clients on request.
Data Privacy & Security
How is personal data collected, stored, and processed?
All personal data is processed in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Data is stored in encrypted systems with strict access controls. We collect only the minimum data necessary for service delivery.
Do you share expert personal information with clients?
We share professional profile information (industry, seniority, functional area) with clients for matching purposes. Personal contact details are never shared without explicit expert consent.
What is your data retention policy?
Expert profile data is retained for 24 months from the last engagement. Engagement records are retained for 6 years for compliance and audit purposes. Experts can request data deletion at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
Quality & Standards
How do you ensure the quality of expert consultations?
We collect post-call feedback from clients on every engagement. Experts with consistently low ratings or compliance concerns are reviewed and may be removed from the network. We track match accuracy, insight quality, and professional conduct.
What happens if a client is dissatisfied with an expert?
We operate a no-questions-asked replacement policy. If a client is unsatisfied with an expert's relevance or quality, we source a replacement at no additional cost. Client feedback is documented and factored into future matching.
